How to Create a Listing
Thotfy is a curated marketplace for handmade, artistic, and creative products. To maintain quality and authenticity, all sellers must be approved before listing products.
Below is the full process to start selling and creating listings on Thotfy.com:
Step 1: Apply to Sell on Thotfy
Go to the Sell Page
- Visit: Sell on Thotfy
- Read the introduction and terms to understand seller eligibility.
Fill Out the Seller Application Form
Provide the following:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Brand or Store Name (if applicable)
- Social Media/Portfolio Links (e.g., Instagram, Website, Behance)
- Product Category or Type
- Description of your work (Handmade? Artistic Process? Medium used?)
- Sample Product Images (high-resolution)
Submit the Form
Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation and a follow-up email.
Step 2: Wait for Review and Approval
- Thotfy will review your application to assess alignment with their brand, aesthetics, and quality standards.
- Approval time: Typically 2–5 business days.
- If approved:
- You'll receive an email confirmation.
- You’ll be onboarded with account setup instructions, seller login access, and guidelines.
Unapproved sellers will also be notified and may be given tips to improve or reapply later.
Step 3: Set Up Your Seller Dashboard
Once approved:
- Log in using the link provided in your approval email.
- Complete your seller profile:
- Brand bio
- Bank/payment details for payouts
- Logo and banner image (if applicable)
- Shipping preferences
Step 4: Add a New Product Listing
From your Seller Dashboard:
1. Click “Add New Product”
2. Fill in the Product Details:
Title
- Keep it clear and descriptive (e.g., “Custom Hand-Painted Book Pillow”)
Photos
- Upload 3–5 high-resolution images
- Front, side, usage, close-up, packaging
- Use natural light, neutral backgrounds
Description
- Write a detailed and engaging description including:
- Story behind the product
- Dimensions and materials
- Care instructions
- Customization options
- Packaging details
Tags / Keywords
- Add relevant tags to improve discoverability (e.g., handmade, candle, gift for her)
Category
- Choose the most relevant category provided (e.g., Art > Watercolor Portraits)
Price
- Enter the selling price (INR ₹)
Inventory
- Set the available quantity
- Optional: Add SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
Shipping Info
- Set estimated shipping time
- Mention shipping fee (if any)
- Choose shipping method (standard/express)
Step 5: Review & Submit Product for Internal Approval
- Thotfy requires each product to be individually reviewed before it goes live.
- Click “Submit for Review” after entering your product details.
Thotfy’s team will ensure your listing meets design, quality, and description standards.
Step 6: Listing Goes Live (Post-Approval)
- You’ll receive a notification once your product is approved and published.
- The item will appear under your seller profile and in the appropriate shop category on Thotfy.com.
Step 7: Manage Your Listings
From your dashboard, you can:
- Edit or update descriptions, prices, and stock
- Remove sold-out products
- Monitor orders and customer messages
Step 8: Track Orders and Fulfill
- When a customer places an order, you’ll receive a notification and the buyer’s info.
- Package the product securely.
- Dispatch within the promised timeframe.
- Update the tracking details on your dashboard.
Step 9: Communicate with Buyers
- Answer customer questions promptly via the platform or email.
- Maintain a professional tone and build trust for repeat purchases.
